our Mission

Our mission is to provide barrier-free applied behavior analysis services to individuals on the autism spectrum in an inclusive environment. We are a beacon of light to all of those riding the waves of autism!

Our Story

Founded by Ashlyn Wimmer and Kaitlin Clem, Lighthouse Therapy Center was built upon the belief that every child is worthy of quality individualized care. Ashlyn and Kaitlin, along with their husbands, met several years ago through the creation of a special needs ministry at our local church. As a parent to a child with autism and a board-certified behavior analyst, they began dreaming of an inclusive environment that was so desperately needed in the Fort Worth community. Our founders understand the need for an environment that focuses on each child's individual goals and needs to give them a safe space to learn and grow through therapies and academically.

Lighthouse Therapy Center will foster an environment that will meet the needs of all our clients. We will offer ABA therapy to insurance-based clients and in partnership with Lighthouse School of Fort Worth, an educational program for tuition-based clients. Additionally, a combination of school and ABA will be available to individuals who would benefit from both an educational and therapeutic setting. The client and their family have the freedom to choose their schedule based on individual needs and assessments. Lighthouse also provides the opportunity to receive in-house speech, occupational, and music therapy to further ease the burden of transportation on parents. We choose to live out our mission by being barrier-free for the children and families who we serve. Being barrier-free means we serve children ages 2-18!

Our Vision

Every child is given the opportunity to receive the services they need, to find a sense of belonging, and create hope for a brighter future.

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, is the use of scientifically proven techniques and principles to achieve positive and meaningful changes in behavior. Lighthouse Therapy Center’s commitment to providing the highest quality of individualized therapy remains our primary focus. Through evidence-based programming and family guidance, we keep our clients’ direct needs at the heart of everything we do.
